All of our Chesterfield wing chairs are available to buy in three different leathers – antique leather, premium leather and hand dyed leather – all of which have their own individual finishes and come in a variety of colours. Regardless of which leather you choose, they are all the finest full hide and hand chosen by experienced leatherworkers for their first class grain, and consistent thickness and texture.
Antique leather
The standard leather range, which is hand sealed to protect the surface. It is blacked before being applied, and hand rubbed to remove the black and reveal the colour underneath, creating an authentic antiqued appearance.
Premium leather
The luxurious leather range, which is a finer grain and has a supple appearance, achieved using natural finishing products in a pre-treatment process. It has a textured and semi-distressed finish, which subtly changes the colour of the leather as it contours around the shape of the wing chair.
Hand Finished Leather
The individual leather range, which is vegetable tanned and hand dyed by a leatherworker before it is sealed. It is finished using traditional methods by applying a deep colour over the fine grain to create a supple effect. This leather will only improve with age and will develop its own patina.
